Holiday Travel Tips

Traveling during the holidays this year? Check out this tips so you can be stress-free and make the most of your travels this time of year.

Tip 1: Preparation
Do not wait until the last minute to book your accommodations and/or modes of travel (i.e. flights, car rentals, bus, train, etc., etc.).  You have a good chance on actually saving money when you book early. The holidays are the busiest times of the year, so it is imperative to make sure you have everything prepared. Also do not wait until the last minute to pack, especially if you have children.  You want to make sure you have all your necessities so you can avoid back tracks.

Tip 2: If You Are Driving, Leave Later In The Day
Leaving later in the day or night is best because there is less traffic on the road. Just make sure you get the proper rest before you hit the road. And, if it is possible, share the driving with another person like your spouse, another family member, or friend. Play some upbeat music or whatever that will help you stay alert on the road.

Tip 3: Wait To Wrap Your Gifts
If you will be traveling via airplane, then it is suggested to just wait until you get to your destination to wrap your gifts. Due to the security at the airport and to save you time while going through the airports security personnel, just keep the gifts unwrapped.

Tip 4: Pack Only What You Need
Having too much baggage will slow you down and increase the probability of leaving behind a couple of your belongings.  Packing a lot of luggage is a headache at the airport because if you have more than the allowed carry-on, there may be additional fees. Unless you are packing many gifts, pack as light as you can.

Tip 5: Have A Great Time
Enjoy yourself this Holiday Season. Enjoy your family and friends and stay positive.

HAPPY HOLIDAYS!
